Celebrating Knowledge

To celebrate knowledge, Beth sought out a quaint library (in Houston Heights) and did a little research. With the Beer Can House on her mind, She learned about the history of American beer. Rum and whiskey was the drink of choice until the Germans arrived in the mid-19th century. They set about to re-create the pleasures of the biergartens they left behind. Fifty years later, the American style lager was the most popular beverage... and brewing was the nation's fifth largest industry. Cheers!
