A Wild Ride

Few knew of Bev's secret passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. She hadn't ever actually ridden one, but she'd always wanted to. During the summer of 2002, when Bev was undergoing her first round of chemo, Kate arranged a surprise. She drove her Mom blindfolded to a friend's house, where a handsome dude with classy wheels waited to take her on a wild countryside ride.

Half an hour later, Bev returned with her wind-matted wig in hand and a smile that stayed stuck to her face for hours.
