The Teacher

For 28 years, Bev taught elementary school in Southern California. Her favorite grade to teach was 5th.

In 1989, she won the coveted Teacher of the Year Award, which earned her a ride to school in a stretch limousine and the seat of honor at a fancy banquet.

Bev taught right up until retirement at age 70, then continued to substitute teach for a year or so after that.
