Brooklyn
We were lucky to get to stay with my brother and his family in their apartment in Brooklyn Heights, just two blocks from a main subway station. We didn't explore a lot of Brooklyn outside of the Heights (except for Coney Island), but we loved walking through the quaint neighborhoods of brownstones, strolling on the promenade, which has a perfect view of Manhattan (photo above), and going to Sahadi's for knishes and olives and exotic cheeses.
The place we stayed was on the 19th floor and had spectacular views in three different directions. Each of the photos below was taken through a window in the apartment. Map
